RULES REGARDING THE COURT KIT – HANDBALL

We will follow and present the rules that players must meet in order to be admitted to the game by the competition commissioner. Today we will analyze the rules for handball players. What can a player wear under his match outfit? What type of clothing is allowed and what color? What shouldn’t he play in? With the ever-changing regulations on the additional equipment of players, every player should know what to wear to the game to avoid penalties. First of all, we will deal with thermoactive clothing. The latest IHF regulations, updated on July 17, 2017, allow players from field to use thermal shorts of the same color that is dominant in the match shorts. The same color of clothing is obligatory for all players of the same team. However, this garment must not overlap the sock. The IHF makes it clear that only the goalkeeper is allowed to wear long thermoactive or compression pants as his clothing is covered by long match pants. Combinations of compression and thermoactive elements are allowed. Similar provisions apply to knee pads and elbow pads. Provided that their elements cannot be plastic or metal. In the case of thermoactive shirts, IHF, unlike basketball FIBA, also allows the use of those that extend beyond the shirt of the game outfit. However, they should absolutely be of the same color that is dominant on the match jersey. Both in the case of the lower and upper part of thermoactive clothing, it is not allowed to place any advertisements or patches on them. For the other elements, the rules are equally restrictive. It is allowed to wear knee, ankle or shoulder stabilizers (must be padded and properly tightened), headbands (thin and elastic), mouth guards (unitary and light colors, without inscriptions), glasses (wearing glasses with rigid temples is forbidden). All listed elements must be the same for the players of the entire team. The commissioner will not allow the player to play in the stabilizer for a broken nose or facial bones. Socks, as well as clothing, pads or welts, must be of the same color for all the players of the same team and must be of a similar length. Calf compression straps may protrude above the sock but must be of the same color. Protectors for both ankle joints and wrists (stabilization straps are also included) must not have any hard elements, unless they are covered with fabric. The color of the ankle stabilizer must be the same as that of the socks, and the color of the wrist stabilizer must be the same color as the game shirt. A player whose shoes are not of the same model and / or right and left have different colors is not allowed to play. Lighting, reflective or other ornaments are also not allowed. For safety reasons, competitors are not allowed to wear jewelry. Special glue is allowed.
